Hi I'm Jolly - my littermates and I came to the rescue last week! They say we are blue heeler/husky mixes - what an interesting mix! The rescue humans would encourage you to look up those breeds and their characteristics - we are SO cute but want to ensure applicants are looking past the adorable factor and considering what could come up because of breeds. Blue heeler is a cattle dog or herding breed so sometimes young kiddos aren't the greatest because the dog will "herd" them and nip at them. We are very young puppies so anyone interested must have the time, patience and commitment to a puppy for house training and manners training and be invested for all of a dog's life. Could you be my pawfect match? These dogs will need much mental stimulation and exercise as they grow, and they also will have a high prey drive.  Additionally, they can herd children by nipping. As a result, we will not consider applications from families with a) Children less than 10 yrs old; b) Small animal pets (birds, hamsters, bunnies, etc...); c) Most apartment rentals due to the noise potential or breed restrictions.   We prefer single family homes with a fenced yard.
